Located in our office at 1603 N Riverfront, the Living Earth Library and Resource Center provides a lending library of books and food preservation equipment. We have hundreds of books available for checkout, everything from cookbooks (Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day) to poetry books (New and Selected Poems by Mary Oliver). The library has an extensive collection of nonfiction on topics such as climate change (The Post Carbon Reader), organic living (The Transition Handbook), and gardening how-to (The Heirloom Life Gardener). We also have a collection of nature-themed children's books, so bring the kiddos when you come check us out!
The library features comfortable rocking chairs, coffee and tea in addition to a large table for meetings or research.
Additionally the Library offers tools and equipment for canning and food preservation.
