Through a partnership with MNSU's Nutrition and Dietetics Program, LEC is excited to announce that we have interns working with us again this summer!  They are working with Program Manager Maisie helping with our Seed to Sauce Program, working hands-on with the students during classes and also behind the scenes to develop nutrition curriculum for the program.

I am a senior at MSU studying Nutrition & Dietetics. My hometown is Grantsburg, WI. Something I have really enjoyed so far while interning with LEC is seeing how much fun the kids are having with the lessons and activities. I've had multiple kids so far tell me that gardening is a lot more fun than they thought it would be!

I am surprised by how much this has made me want to have my own garden and grow my own vegetables in the future. I've definitely learned a lot myself about gardening and farming and am excited to get a chance to do it all myself. I am also excited to teach the kids all about the food we grew from a nutritional aspect!
