New Winter Produce Donation Program

With visits to food shelves on the rise, LEC has been in contact with our local food shelves and food recovery program to discuss what needs we can help meet over the winter months.

To that end, we have started trays of micro-greens and will also be growing spinach, lettuce, and other produce that can be grown indoors under grow lights to donate to our partners, ensuring that their clients are able to access fresh nutrient-rich organic produce during the coming winter.

We are excited about this opportunity to extend our produce donation season, stay tuned to see what else will be sprouting up in our basement grow room!
