Living Earth Center is pleased to announce that long-time volunteer, Melissa Martensen has joined our staff as the Finance and Communications Manager.  Martensen has been involved with LEC for over 10 years in various volunteer capacities, and has just finished a term as Board Treasurer.

Meet Melissa:

I'm Melissa (she/her) and am so excited to begin officially working for LEC!  I love working behind the scenes in various roles helping LEC work towards its mission and goals.  I grew up in Omaha and have lived in North Mankato for the past 16 years.  I'm the mom of two children (Lyric and Thora), wife to one husband (Brian), and catmom to three cats (Peapod, Moopers, and Fritz).  I'm a knitter/crocheter, enjoy reading, and try my hardest to successfully maintain a small vegetable garden each summer.  My favorite food is cheese and my favorite dinosaur is the apatosaurus.
