FPC Speaker Series presents compelling speakers who consider key issues from an ethical and spiritual perspective.

Laura Peterson is the Executive Director of the Living Earth Center (LEC). This local nonprofit runs one of the largest community gardens in Southern MN and manages the Blue Earth County Community Farm. Living Earth Center’s mission is to unite people of all traditions to cultivate common ground and seek justice through education, encounter, and community agriculture.

Laura's presentation will focus on supporting community growing spaces and how LEC’s Community Food Connection pro-
gram uses a collaborative, multifaceted approach to connect people to the land and healthy, organic produce to confront the issues of food insecurity and sovereignty in our community.
