Climate Strike- Cultivating Community and the Power of Community Gardens

Friday, September 20, 2019

Big Red Barn, Living Earth Community Garden, 170 Good Counsel Dr. Mankato MN

We’ve endured another summer of record-breaking heatwaves, floods, and refinery explosions. Enough is enough. No more government inaction and half-measures.

It’s time to build a renewable energy economy that works for everyone. Join us in the streets September 20 and the week after to demand climate justice for all.

Working together, we can take action within our communities and across differences to build a more just and sustainable future. For over a year, youth across America have been catalyzing the work to do just that. On September 20th, all of us are called to join young people in the streets to demand climate justice for all. In the week that follows, we’ll continue to mobilize to create the changes, and the solutions, we know we need.

In celebration and solidarity, Living Earth Center will join other local organizations by hosting a garden tour and discussion about Cultivating Connection: The Power of Community Gardens in Climate Action. This is a free event! We hope you can join us.

Please park in the Loyola High School Parking lot and come across the street to meet at the Big Red Barn.
